    On April 11, 1945, one of the most horrifying concentration camps of the Holocaust was liberated, Buchenwald. In January, 1945, the largest concentration camp was liberated, Auschwitz. The first camp to be liberated was in Poland in July 1944. Around 6 million Jewish people were killed within these death camps. After the war, Nazi soldiers were banned from work for several years and had to pay a fine. To this day, many people deny what happened to the Jewish people at such a horrible time.
