  • Japans ivasion of China

    China in the 1930's was a divided country between the communist and nationalist. In 1931, japan decided to take advantage of this divided and sent troops to occupy Manchuria. The Japanese used Manchuria as their launch pad to take over the ports and industrial centers. Japan was brought before the League of Nations and condemned for its actions so it responded by leaving no help was sent to the Chinese to reclaim Manchuria because of the want for peace. This lasted for till 1940.
  • Battle of Britan

    Battle of Britan
    The battle of Britain was a clash between British and German fighter pilots it is the largest bombing campaign to date. The situation for Britain was better since Germany lost its navy in the conquering of Norway also they did not have good intelligence. The first attack was successful for the Germans but the second attack was met with better resistance from the British costing the Germans to call the battle of Britain off.

    The Bombing of Pearl Harbor was a Arial attack by the
    Japanese on pearl harbor it lasted only 2 hours but left almost 20 naval vessels and 200 airplanes destroyed, Also over 2000 sailors died and about 1000 were wounded. This was the moment that America decided to enter the second world war.

    D day is the largest amphibious invasion in history it started on June 6,1944 and by late Aguste that year all of northern France had been liberated. The Allies continued the camping and liberated western Europe from Nazi control.

    The Potsdam conference was a meeting in Potsdam Germany to discuss the terms for the end of WWII. The big three as they were called attended this conference Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill, and President Harry Truman. This conference was a continuation of the Yalta which the leaders were deciding the post war borders. The biggest issues were the revision of the German- Polish-Soviet borders and the war reparations.

    The first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima in August of 1945. The first atomic bomb killed over 80,000 people 90% of the city’s population imminently tens of thousands latter died of radiation exposure. The second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki killing over 40,000 people this lead to the unconditional surrender of the Japanese emperor.

    The Berlin wall was a wall built by the Communist government of German Democratic Republic. The GDR says it was to keep out the western fascists but it mainly served as a barrier to keep people inside the GDR. The wall did not fall till November 9 of 1989.

    The Cuban Missile Crisis was a event orcastared by the Soviet Union. They put nuclear missiles in Cuba but removed them in exchange for promising not to invade Cuba and President John Kendey removed missiles from Turkey.
