Mein Kampf is published
Hitler’s philosophical autobiography, Mein Kampf meaning ‘my struggle’ Had many ideas about categorising people. Putting the people in the categories by their appearance such as people with fair skin, blue eyes and blonde hair being Aryan. He considered Aryan’s as being the supreme race of human beings. For the Jews, Slavic people, Czechs, Poles and Russians as being considered less than supreme. Hitler began writing this book in Landsberg prisonwhile serving time for treason. -
The Great Depression
An international economic crisis caused America to join WWII. World War 2 shaped a lot government independence in America. -
Hitler becomes chancellor
The first step towards Hitler’s dictatorship in Germany. President Paul von Hindenburg announced Hitler as chancellor. He was also head of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, aka. The Nazi Party. -
The Night Of The Long Knives
Hitler had planned a night to kill hundreds of Nazis that were taking the National Socialism propaganda to vigorously. This looked like a threat to the political party because later on upon the track those members could compromise his plan for the country. -
Hitler annexes Austria
Adolf Hitler goes ahead on his plans of invading countries and annexes Austria. He then demanded release of German people in Sudetenland. Soon after that Neville Chamberlain flew over to Germany for a settlement before war was declared. -
The Night of the broken glass
Kristallnacht, the night Nazis went destroying Jewish property as well as brutally attacking Jews. The outbreak was sudden and was set off by the assasination of a German official in Paris. This assasination was caused by a Jewish teenager so destructive behaviour begun. 250 synagogues were burned,7,000 Jewish businesses were ruined and looted, many of Jewish people were killed, and Jewish cemeteries, hospitals, schools, and homes were looted as well. -
War is declared
Britain and France declare war on Germany. After Hitlers continuos aggression on Eastern European countries. Britain and their smaller colonies (Australia etc) including France attempt to stop Germany dominating the world. -
