    Chinese Nationalists oust the last Qing emperor, Puyi
    The Chinese nationalist party, headed by Sun Yat Sen brought about an end to the last Qing emperor, Henry Puyi. This brought an end to the dynasty in system, a system hundreds of years old. With this new form of government, Sun Yat Sen made The KMT, a Chinese nationalist party, trying to make China democratic.

    World War I begins as Austria declares war of Serbia
    In 1914, Austria declared war on Serbia because of Serbia's reluctance to accept Austrian agreements. The Austrians set about these rules because of the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdenand by a black hand assassin.

    In 1917 the United States of America entered WWI. The U.S.A. entered the war because of several reasons, cheifly the sinking of the Lusitania. The Lusitania was a US ship filled with passengers smuggling supplies to Great Britain. The Germans had used submarines to sink the ship once it entered Brittish waters.

    In 1918, armistice was signed by the British and German generals. This was signed due to both army's generals witnessing the pointless bloodshed caused on the western front. Although there had been no official peace treaty, armistice was signed repeatedly until an offical peace treaty was signed.

    Ghandi led several types of civil disobidience, some of these are the salt march, which was where people walked to the coast of India to make their own salt. Ghandi's methods were called Satyagraha.

    Because the nationalist party of China, or, the KMT was chasing the communist, Mao Zedong had to lead the communist people of China away from the nationalist. However, due to the rape of Nanjing, the communist were able to survive.
