    Archduke of the Austro-Hungarian Empire is Assassinated
    On June 28, 1914, the Archduke of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Franz Ferdinand is assassinated. The Nationalist that killed him and his wife, Gavrilo Princip, was suspected to be from Serbia. At the time, Serbia and the Austro-Hungarian Empire didn't get along.

    On July 28, one month after the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, the empire declares war on Serbia. This was the official start of World War I. Only Austria-Hungry and Serbia were involved at the start.
