The Schlieffen Plan
The Schlieffen Plan was created by General Count Alfred in December 1905. The Schlieffen Plan was a plan for a designated attack on France once Russia, started to mobilise forces near the German border. The execution of the Schlieffen Plan led to Britain declaring war on Germany on August 4th, 1914. Battle of Verdun
The battle of verdun was the longest battle of WW1 and the bloodest. The attack on Verdun started because of a plan by the German Chief of General Staff, von Falkenhayn.He wanted to “bleed France white” by launching a massive German attack. Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles was the peace settlement signed after World War One had ended in 1918. The treaty was signed at the vast Versailles Palace near Paris between Germany and the Allies. The three most important people there were David Lloyd George, Georges Clemenceau and Woodrow Wilson.
