The Great Depression started in October of 1929 caused by overproduction, lack of jobs, and stock market crash. The US economy was failing and the citizens were paying the price. But when WW2 started the economy in the US blew up do to the need to get ready for, and ultimately ending the Great depression. -

US Marines invaded Iwo Jima. Japanese used secret tunnels through out the island. US Marines raised a US Flag on Mount Suribachi. Japanese had constructed 11 miles of tunnels and around 1,500 rooms under Iwo Jima's surface. Marines could he the Japanese running under them. -
Little Boy and Enola Gay
Little Boy was drooped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, making it the first atomic bomb to ever be used in war. Little boy was a uranium based bomb with a estimated blast yield of 15kt. Enola Gay was a B-29 Superfortress that dropped Little Boy on Nagasaki. -
Fat Man
Fat Man was dropped on the Japanese city of Nagasaki making it the second Atomic bomb to be use in war. Fat Man was a plutonium based bomb with a blast yield of 21kt. -
Planned End of WW2
USA was demanding and unconditional surrender, when they weren't accepting they planned and invasion. While Early in the war a top secret development of atomic weapons was taken place called Manhattan Project. It was started by FDR and was so secretive that Vice President Truman didn't even find out about it till he became President. When it tested to be successful Truman Ordered an Atomic bomb to be dropped on Japan. After two atomic bombs three days apart Japan finally Surrender
