    In 1939 Germany invades Poland by using the tactic of blitzkrieg. In which they led a full fledged bombing then a massive land invasion with thousands of troops artillery and tanks. Eventually Germany won and took of over Poland.

    France heard news of Germany wanting to invade so they set up the Maginot line which spread across the whole German and French border. Germany heard plans of this and went through Belgium and Luxembourg completely around the Maginot line and flanked french forces and decimated the line. Eventually they marched into Paris and took the capital.

    German air forces known as the Luftwaffe began dropping bombs on civilians towns, factories and the Newport. These raids continued day and night and as a response eventually British forces decided to strike back. So in August Britain sent 70 planes to bomb the heart of Germany Berlin.

    Starting at the beginning of 1941 the U.S decides to aid Great Britain with supplies that consisted of military aid by sending weapons ships aircraft or machinery to England. This was compromise for the U.S that allowed them to be in the war but at the same time not really these weapons were usually sold or leased.

    Only 6 months after the Bombing of Pearl Harbor in one of the most decisive naval battles of WW2 Japan and U.S go head to head in the battle of midway. The U.S outnumbered almost 2 to 1 they were expected to lose. But with the help of code breaking the U.S was able to find out Japans Surprise attack and they were able to counter it and on June 7 U.S was able to pull victorious.

    Sunday morning at 8 a.m. Japan sent over hundreds of airplanes to Peal Harbor in Hawaii and there they began to drop countless bombs and bullets into American naval ships and civilians. Over 2,400 american soldiers and civilians were killed and 1,000 more wounded. After this attack the U.S officially declared war on Japan.

    Starting on July,17 the German army tries to take over the city of Stalingrad in Russia. The Soviet Union considers this battle the greatest battle in their history this is also considers the bloodiest battle in history with a combined civilian and soldier death toll of almost 2 million deaths. This is also considered the greatest battle of WW2 this victory over the Germans really hurt them. The battle lasted a total of 7 months ending in February of 1943 .

    On Tuesday June 6 the allied forces invaded Normandy beach to liberate Western Europe from the rule of Nazi Germany. This battle lasted a total of six months. This invasion was considered the largest amphibious military assault in history .

    On August 8 a B-29 bomber dropped the first ever atomic bomb of the city of Hiroshima in Japan. Instantly the bombed killed 80,000 people and flattened building and homes later tens of thousands died from radiation yet Japan still didn't surrender. Three days later another B-29 bomber drops another atomic bomb of the city of Nagasaki killing an estimated 40,000 people finally after this second bomb Japan surrenders ending WW2 on August 15
