27 countries met to negotiate a peace agreement, that ended WW1, between Germany and the allied powers. It was very harsh on Germany due to the assumed war guilt, huge reparations, and disarmament. -
The Battle of France
During WW2, Germany placed an attack on France, the French tried to defend themselves but were unsuccessful. Lasted June 5 - June 22. -
Battle of Britain
A battle between Britain and Germany, after the Battle of France. Hitler made plans for an invasion, code named Operation Sea-lion. The British won.

Lend Lease
President Franklin D. Roosevelt positioned the United States to support the Allies. Allowed the US to lend or lease war supplies to countries. -
Germans Invade Soviet Union -Operation Barbarossa
Germany attacked the Soviet Union with massive force. The Soviets were caught by surprise and Germany advanced into the Soviet Union. -
Normandy. Campaign - D-Day - Operation Overlord
Allied victory in Europe required the destruction of Nazi Germany. Allied invasion of Normandy.
June 6-July 24 1944 -
Ardennes Alsace Campaign - Battle of the Bulge
The Germans attempted to regain the initiative with a surprise offensive through the Ardennes. In the end, German mobile forces were severely depleted.
December 16 1944 - January 25 1945 -
Yalta Conference
A meeting between the leaders of the US, UK, and Soviet Union. Discussed the end of WW2 and the future of Europe.
February 4 - February 11 1945 -
Iwo Jima Campaign
Battle between the US and Japan. The US took over Iwo Jima, resulting in one of the most bloodiest battles of WW2. The US had a costly victory with many deaths.
February 15 - March 16 1945 -
Japanese Surrender
Allies released the Potsdam declaration, Japanese ignored the reparation. Due to this the allies dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, resulting in a surrender from Japan.
