Annexation of Sudetenland
Leaders from Britain, France Italy and Germany met to discuss Germany's demands for the Sudetenland. The Sudetenland was a province in Northern Czechoslovakia that bordered Germany. An agreement was met and Sudetenland was annexed to Czechoslovakia, This agreement was called the Munich Pact.

Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor was a U.S. naval base in Honolulu Hawaii. The attack was early in the morning when Japanese fighter jets descended down to the base and destroyed nearly 20 ships and more than 300 planes. Many lives were lost that day. The next day Congress approved Roosevelt's declaration of war against Japan.

The Philippines

Japanese Internment Camps
These internment camps were from Feb 19, 1942 - Mar 20, 1946. They were established during WW2 by President Roosevelt through his executive order 9066, the policy of the U.S. government that Japanese people would be forced and relocated to concentration camps in the western interior of the country. The Battle of Midway was between the U.S. navy and Japan, fought over seas. The dates were June 3rd - June 6th 1942. It was a proximally six months after Pearl Harbor. It turned the tide of WW2. -
Guadalcanal
Lasted from Aug. 7th 1942 to Feb. 9th 1943, it was the first major offensive attack for allied victory in the Pacific theater. Japanese troops were station in the section of the Solomon Islands, the U.S. marines launched a surprise attack. It was important to control the sea lines of communication between the United States and Australia.

Stalingrad
Started in August 23rd 1942 and ended on February 2nd 1943. This was the largest conflict/encounter of WW2. Germany and its allies fought against the Soviet Union for control of Stalingrad, located in Southern Russia. Now known as Volgograd.

This was meeting held during WW2 on the dates of Feb. 4th - Feb. 11th of 1945. It was between the head of government of the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union to discuss postwar reorganization of Germany and Europe.

Death of Hitler
Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany was paranoid he was going to be captured by the Russians. Him and his wife, Ava both planned to commit suicide in a bunker. Some believe he escaped the bunker alive and traveled by U-boat to Argentina.

Los Alamos
Los Alamos was a laboratory established during WW2 between the years of 1942-1943. Its main purpose in the Manhattan project was to design and build an atomic bomb. The first atomic bomb was detonated 200 miles south of Los Alamos at Trinity Site on July 16, 1945.

Meeting at Potsdam
Meeting held near Berlin during July 7th - Aug 2nd 1945. It was the last meeting of WW2 held by the "Big Three". Pronounced various agreements on Germany's economy punishment for war criminals etc.

Hiroshima
Hiroshima was part of the Manhattan Project. Truman ordered American B-29 bomber to drop the first atomic bomb over the city of Hiroshima in Japan. This was a threat to make Japan unconditionally surrender, they did not surrender until a second atomic bomb was dropped over Nagasaki
