Bataan Death March
After the U.S. surrenders to the Japanese on the island of Luzan, 75,000 U.S. and Phillipino troops were forced a 65 mile march to prison camps. -
Doolittle Raids
16 Aerican B-25 bombers launched off of the USS Hornet aircraft carrier 650 miles east of Japan and bombed the Japanese mainland. -
Battle of the Coral Sea
The Battle of the Coral Sea was a Naval Battle in the Pacific Theatre between the Japanese Empire Navy and Air Forces verses The United States Naval and Air Forces and Australia. The Allies won through a straegic advantige knowing the Japanese would arrive at Tulagi, the Allies would strike them with a landing group and sink Japanese boats, and the Allies had won. -
U.S. Surrenders to the Phillipines
The Allied forces and Fhilipino defenders were held all the way back to the island of Corregidor after the victory of the Japanese over Bataan. general wainwright of The U.S. offered a surrender to Japanese General Homma, and Japan would win and take the island. -
Battle of Midway
Six months after Pearl Harbor, the U.S. defeated Japan in one of the most decisive naval battles in World War 2. The U.S. won through code breaking, and were able to counter Japan's planned ambush of its few carriers. The win had the allies move into offensive positions. -
Guadacanal
This was the first major offensive vicotry for the Allies. Japanese troops were station at a section in the Solomon Islands, when the U.S. launched a surprise attack and took over the Air Bases and took control. -

This battle was when the U.S. had a massive assult on the central Phillipine island of Leyte. A desicive air battle and sea battle between the U.S. and japan which the U.S. crippled Japan and forced the japanese to withdraw from the island and the gulf. -

The U.S. had a massive invasion of the Japanese Island of aIwo Jima, in need of their base near the Japanese Coast. the marines wiped out most of the japanese after months of fighting. -
Battle of Okinawa

Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombings
an American B-29 bomber would release the world's first atomic bomb over Hiroshima, killing 90 oercent instantly of 80,000 and killing thousands later from radiation. Three days later another was dropped on Nagasaki killing 40,000. A week later Japan would surrender.
