  • Bataan Death March

    After the U.S. surrenders to the Japanese on the island of Luzan, 75,000 U.S. and Phillipino troops were forced a 65 mile march to prison camps.

The Allies won through a straegic advantige knowing the Japanese would arrive at Tulagi, the Allies would strike them with a landing group and sink Japanese boats, and the Allies had won.

    This battle was when the U.S. had a massive assult on the central Phillipine island of Leyte. A desicive air battle and sea battle between the U.S. and japan which the U.S. crippled Japan and forced the japanese to withdraw from the island and the gulf.

    The U.S. had a massive invasion of the Japanese Island of aIwo Jima, in need of their base near the Japanese Coast. the marines wiped out most of the japanese after months of fighting.

    an American B-29 bomber would release the world's first atomic bomb over Hiroshima, killing 90 oercent instantly of 80,000 and killing thousands later from radiation. Three days later another was dropped on Nagasaki killing 40,000. A week later Japan would surrender.
