Philippines fall to Japanese – Bataan Death March
Japanese captured 70,000 soldiers at bataan and took both american and phillippino as prisoners. They were forced to walk 65 miles to a prison camp. Many died of weakness and starvation or were murdered along the way. -
Japanese Americans interned in isolated camps
After Pearl Harbor, Japanese Americans were under suspicion of spying and giving confidential information to the Japanese army. The result of that was citizens of Japanese decent were torn from their homes and transported to isolation camps. -

In a time of need for workers back home in America, companies were allowed to hire braceros. These young mexican Americans were often discriminated against because of their race and clothing (zoot suits). People would beat them in the streets that lead to rioting. -

THe Allies started moving into Italy, Italy surrendered and the King dissmissed Mussolini from office. -

On D-Day, more than 155,000 Allied troops crossed the English channel. -

Germany was left wide open after the battle of the bulge so the Allies came in and took France back. -
Battle of the Bulge – last offensive of German Forces
Each side lost tens of thousands of men. It looked like Germany would win because in a delay with the Allies, Germany created and bulge in the front lines. The Allies won. -
