D-Day (Or "Operation Overlord") Commences and the beaches of Normandy are invaded. This would be a successful mission. -
Germany Surrenders
Berlin suffers heavy bombing and is then cleared out. Only to find Hitler had comitted suicide. This was an unconditional surrender. -

The "Little Boy" atomic bomb is dropped on Nagasaki on August 6th, then The "Fat Man" atomic bomb is dropped on Hiroshima 3 days later. Japan surrenders immediatly and the war ends.
