    -The devlopment of the Scliffen plan was taken place in 1905 but implemented in 1914. Which later became a deployment plan by the German staff.
    Historical Perspective
    -The purpose of invading Belgium was because Germany went through Belgium in oder to get to the French and quickly capture Paris.
    -The Schlieffen Plan, called for this to take days and then for France to declare defeat , thus ending the threat in the West. But it did not end this way.

    The British declaration of war caused the german's to come up with the Schlieffan plan in order to win the war.
    -The affect of this plan was that their own plan back fired as their enimies were smarter.

    -Belgium's ports were close to the British coast and German control of Belgium would have been seen as a serious threat to Britain. In the end, Britain refused to ignore the events of 4 August 1914, when Germany attacked France through Belgium.

    -This was one of the first times that trech warfare was brought up and was used by both enemies.

    -During the battle of Marne what was devloped is called trench warfare which was brought up to prevent complete obliteration, soldiers had to dig holes to hide in; however, it also led to more deaths because of the concentration of people and the lack of mobility.
    -If a bomb landed in a trench, there was nowhere for the soldiers to go.

    -This caused to force a passage through the straits to the Black Sea, at once supplying Russia from the Mediterranean and taking Istanbul, the capital of the Ottoman Empire.

    -This battle caused a canadian to defeat european power.
    -This affected Canada by giving hope and pride to the nation of our athnecity.

    -The casue of this battle was a lack of sufficient intelligence and knowledge of the terrain, along with a fierce Turkish resistance, hampered the success of the invasion.
    -This affected the allied forces had suffered heavy casualties and had made little headway from their initial landing sites.

    -It was not morally right for a battle such as this to take place was an unsuccessful attempt by the Allied Powers to control the sea route from Europe to Russia.

    -Conscription caused every single man and childless widower between 18 and 41 was offered three choices: 1) Enlist at once. 2) Attest at once under Derby’s system. 3) Or on 2 March 1916 be automatically deemed to have enlisted.
    -The affect was a protest.

    -It is not morally right for men/families to be lied to or recruited to the war by just offering goods (money). Join the battle at your own risk is a morally right unconscripted thing to say to the citizien's.

    The telegram was a turning point because it was supposed to entice Mexico to join the German war effort and invade the United States. The telegram was intercepted by the British. -Released to the American press which created a firestorm, the public opinion against the Germans.

    The purpose of this was It was generally believed that Britain had naval supremacy not only in Europe but also throughout the world. One of the major clashes involving the British Royal Navy's against the Imperial German Navy's High Seas Fleet was the navy.

    -The citizen's in Quebec had a riot when they first heard of such a act it was unevenly administered, and there were numerous evasions and many exemptions.

    -This bill caused only 24,132 conscripts by the end of war.
    -This act affected the military value but its political consequences are clear. It led to Borden's Union government and drove most of his French Canadian supporters into opposition by this attempt to enforce their participation in a war.

    -It was not morally right to send men to fight for their country in horrible conditions such as unceasing rain and shellfire reduced the battlefield to a vast bog of bodies, water-filled shell craters, and mud.
