    Lusitania Accident
    The voyage of the Lusitania would be a risky one, since Germany declared unrestricted submarine warfare if any ships sailed by the British Isles(Since Germany wanted to quarantine them). A warning was posted on the New York newspapers saying to "enter at your own risk" when it comes to ship passing the British isles, on the same page had the advertisement for the biggest and fastest liner at the time. The captain ignored the information and at 2:12 p.m. the ship sank

    The disease had caused national dismay with 1 third of the world's population getting infected with this virus. There was wasn't one certain place that it had started, but in the U.S. the first people to get diagnosed were military personnel. The virus was an H1N1 with genes of avian origin. The mortality rates had went up drastically, including healthy people ages 20-40. With no real solutions of vaccines or antibiotics that could help prevent or treat the disease, people had to be quarantined.

    The Senate ended up rejecting the treaty because its majority leader Henry Cabot Lodge did not agree with the League of Nations and thought it gave too much power to the other countries.

    Walt Disney had officially created one of the most iconic cartoon characters of all time. The idea started from the fact that he had another character of his (Oswald The Rabbit) and Disney artists stolen from him, from the Universal distributer Charles Mintz. He was then on a cross-country train ride and had to think of a new character fast. Named after his wife, Mickey Mouse was born on October 1st 1928.

    Rival gangsters Capone and George "Bugs" Moran had been fighting for power over the illegal trading of bootlegging, gambling, and prostitution. It came to a climax when 7 of Bugs men were in a garage doing there bootlegging operations, when a cop car pulled up. The police had busted in and asked the men to stand facing the wall with hands behind there back, but little did they know that it was actually Capones men disguised as cops, and it was too late as all 7 men had been killed in cold blood.
