Tracer rounds are bullet that light up green/white when fired and this helped when fighting battles at night time. The time these were used at were when Germany and the England were fighting . -
Moving to France
Richard writes to his mo that he will move to France and he hopes it will be more interesting than Fargo in England. He told his mom that he has gained weight and is excited to wear a new uniform and boots. -
U.S Enters The War
The U.S intercepted a telegram sent from Arthur Zimmerman in Germany to the Mexican government . The telegram essentially said that when Germany beat the U.S they could have pieces of it. And this changed our mind of staying neutral in the war. -
Letter to Mother About Moving Again
Richard was Sent to Washington D.C and was told he will be sent back to England and then possibly somewhere in France. He had to get three vaccines for small pox and typhoid. And he had a physical done and he was under weight. -
pilot less drone
pilot less drone was at first invented to be a sort of aerial bomb that would drop on America's enemies. some times it succeeded but as a regular airplane. it was relatively unsuccessful.It was also used for surveillance. The first version was able to fly at 50 mph carrying a 300 pound bomb.After a certain amount of time an electrical circuit would close and the engine would shut off and it would explode when it hit the ground. -
Letter to Mother and Father
Richard talks about the weather and how cold it is . He says that the war will soon be over and if the Germans don't let up they will be badly beaten in the war. -

The British led the battle in the Sinai and Palestine campaign. It successfully combined cavalry, infantry, artillery, armored vehicles, and aircraft to achieve a victory over Ottoman Turks and their German allies. -
End Of The War
THis is the official ending of the war . All the fighting and all the deaths by using things like gas and machine guns.On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, all fighting ceased as the armistice of World War I was signed. -
Brother moving
Richard tells his mom that his brother had gotten back from the war and is home now . There is so many people that need Doctor assistance that he will probably be busy until the spring . He tells his father that it isn't that bad working there and he learning french . -

12 million people were killed during the war and another 20 million were injured .There were so many deaths that families had to go to war cemeteries and memorials to be built around the world. Thousands of war veterans were affected by PTSD.
