    June 28, 1914 was the day that Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. Ferdinand and his wife were on a visit to the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo when they were both shot and killed. These killings by the Bosnian Serb nationalist began the chain of events that eventually led to the start of WW1.

A French intelligence officer noticed some German troops on a bank built up. the French were prepared and moved most of their ammo to Verdun for preparation of the attack that was coming.

    November 11, 1918 at exactly 11:00 a.m. World War 1 had finally ended. Everybody went silent but nobody cheered or celebrated. It wasn't until hours later that everybody came to realize that it was officially over. The war with over 8.5 million casualties was finally over. This did not end in a surrender rather than an agreement that neither sides would continue to fire ... naming it Armistice Day.
