WSPU members demand to know if the women's suffrage was apart of the goverment's official party.
Two WSPU members, Christabel Pankhurst and Annie Kenny, were given the task of questioning Sir Edmund Grey at a public meeting at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester. This tactif was adopter as part of campaign to target potential misisters in the new Liberal goverment's Cabint.
The women were determined that their question would be raised and painted on a banner, "WILL YOU GIVE VOTES FOR WOMEN?" -

Emmeline Pankhrust recorded her aim that "Votes For Women" benner would appear at public meetings wherever a prospective member of goverment was to speak. -

First Procession
The first suffrage procession was held when 400 women marched into a meeting a Caxton Hall, London. -
WSPU requested interveiw with the Prime Minister - rejected!
After requesting a interveiw and being rejected, WSPU marched to his residence at No.10 Downing Street. As the delegates waited outside No.10, they were asked to leave by the Prime Minister. Finall a policaman was called and three women were arrested.
