Japans 1931 invasion of Manchuria
The japanese invasion of Manchuria is an invasion that happended immediately after the mukden incident. The invasion was to challenge japan to gain control over the whole province so they can take all of East Asia. Japan continued to expand into china, leading to all out war between those countries. -
Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles is what ended World War 1, The treaty is to have peace and that Germany accepts the responsiability to war. This led to World War 2 beacuse of hitler and his people did not like they were balmed for war 1. -
Adolph Hitler
He was the leader of Germany. He wanted to establish a New Order of absolute German Hegemony in Europe. He Invaded Poland which was the cause of World War II. He basically started the whole war.Germany began its own program of expansion,seeking to restore the 'rightful" boundaries. He created racism by telling Germany no other race was as good as theirs, making them belive blonde blue eyed people were the best. -
Neutrality Acts and Pearl Harbor
This meant the that US wouldn’t give any weapon shipments to any foreign countries or no loans. This lead to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor which brought us into World War II. Americans not wanting to fight the war,were definitely not neutral in their sympathies and the acts were manipulated to the frustrations of genuine isolationsts. to lend more support to the Allies than the Axis -
Benito
Italy invaded Ethiopia. Italy by then had a fascism country, which made Benito Mussolini its dictator. -
Anschluss
The Anschluss went against many international agreements. Austria's Chancellor Kurt Schuschnigg tried helping Austria keep their independence from Germany. With the power given to Germany Wehrmacht troops had entered Austria to enforce the Anschluss. Because Hitler took over Austria this gave Germany more power and made Hitler believe that he could invade any country. -

Germany attacked Poland. Later crushed Denmark, Norway,Bekgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, and France.While proceeding to conquer Yugoslavia and Greece. -
Japan invades French Indochina
Invaded in an effort to control supplies reaching China. Because of this the United States put a halt to shipments of airplanes, parts, machine tools, and aviation gasoline to Japan which was percieved by Japan as an unfriendly act. -
cash and carry
The Cash and Carry replaced the Neutrality Acts of 1936. This allowed the sale of material to other countries as long as they arranged their own transportation and paid in cash right away. This held neutrality between the US and European countries. Also the lend leace act ended the neutrality .This was significant because this finally us out of the Neutrality so we could help other allies out. -
Franklin D. Roosevelt
President of the United States. He ceased oil exports to Japan, following the expansion into French Indochina after the fall of France.Made Japan decide whether to withdraw from China or lose by facing seizing. -
Emperor Hirohito
Hirohito thought that in order to create militarism he needed to attack Pearl Harbor. He got his pilots to attack the harbor and most likely to end there lives to create it. -
Japan surrenders
Having agreed in principle to unconditional surrender on August 14, 1945, Japan formally surrenders, ending World War II.
