    After the sneak attack by the Japanese on Pearl Harbor, the U.S. was at war, and weary of any Japanese people, even U.S. citizens who were feared to be spies. So during the war, many Japanese Americans were rounded up and taken to these Internment camps, where they were treated very poorly.
