Japan wins battle in Philippines capturing all the soldiers from the allied powers. 100,000 American and Filipino soldiers and civilians go through the Bataan Death March where only 90,000 survive to reach the prison. -

Farmers and homeowners practice rationing by changing lawns into gardens and cultivating crops for their own and not buying from shops. -
Doolittle's Raid

US attack and completely destroy the Japanese fleet by ambushing after they got information about them coming in the midway. -

Deception strategy to make German army put military personal in wrong spots. Fortitude South and Fortitude North are made to plan an invasion on more vulnerable area like Normandy. -

A battle in Normandy where 28,000 American soldiers die but Allies manage to invade France and defeat Germans. -

Feb 4-11 Churchill, Stalin and Roosevelt meet to discuss on how to end the war and what to do after the war. They discuss on the recognition of Poland, unconditional surrender of Germany and Russia's help to fight against Japan. They also meet at Potsdam conference to discuss about maintaining peace. -

American tanks destroys the tunnels and traps all the people inside as 20,000 people get missing here. They use flamethrowers to the people attacking from inside of the tunnel. -

US invades Okinawa with an ease with only 10,000 casualties on American side while 150,000 Okinawan die in fighting. 34 ships sinks, 368 ships and aircraft damages, and 763 aircraft gets lost of allies. 16 ships sinks, 8000 aircraft and 16 warships destroys and over hundred thousand soldiers die of axis. -

She represents the women working in factory in the time of war. She also inspires and encourages women to work for war and replace men's job. She is also considered as a female icon. -

A Boeing B-29 bomber named after Enola Gay Tibbats is the first aircraft to drop an atom bomb in war. -

Japan surrenders after USSR declares war on Japan. With this surrender Japan can no longer have the militaristic government but still have its emperor alive.
