The Battle Of Okinawa was one of the last battles fought in world war two. It was also one of the most bloodiest. The Americans wanted to capture Okinawa to set a base closer to Japan. Japan soon surrendered after this event. -

Japan formally surrendered to the allied forces. Japan could no longer fight the allied forces with the rest of Japans allies out of the war. This was the end of world war two once and for all.
