Germany invaded France
On May 10th 1940, Germany troops invaded Paris France around 8:00 pm. Germany wanted to take total control on Paris.Frances hoped that the US would join the war and come to their aid. Germany took over Paris.

Germany Bombed London, and the Battle of Britain began
On July 10th 1940, the Germans began the first of a long series of bombing raids against Great Britain. Germany did this to try to defeat Britain. This battle ended in a defeat against Germany.

Germany declared war on the US
On December 11th 1940, just 4 days after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, and the US declared war on Japan. The Germans declared war on the US. They did this because they wanted to be allies with Japan, and if the US was fighting against both of them they could both possible win. This lead to the US joining the Allied Powers and eventually winning the war. -
The US gave Britain war supplies
During the War the US provided supplies and aid to its allies. This happened so that the bond between the allies strengthens and they could beat Germany. This helped the US and our allies to defeat Germany. -
Germany invaded the Soviet Union
On June 22nd, 1941 Germany invaded the Soviet Union. They bombed acres of land. They did this so that the Soviet Union would join their side in war. The Soviet Union defeated Germany at Stalingrad, making the turning point of the war in Eastern Europe. -

Japan Bombed Pearl Harbor
On December 7th 1940 just before 8:00 am on the naval base in Hawaii, hundreds of Japanese plans attacked. Japan did this because the US embargoed materials from them. This event made the US join this war. -

On June 4th -7th 1942 the US was victorious over Japan in the Battle of Midway. The US used many different military techniques to win this war. This victory was a turning point of the war in the pacific.

D-Day
On this day American and other Allied troops landed in Normandy, France. It was the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during World War II. This caused Germany to fight to fronts in war.
