The Battle of Britain
Germany first attacked towns and army defenses on Britain's southern coast, but soon learned that Britain's Royal Air Force was a formidable opponent. Tired of the unrelenting British forces, Germany launched an attack on the city of London. Although the Germans had a greater amount of planes and pilots, the British were able to fight them off.
