    Italy's invasion of Ethiopia was the first act of aggression by the axis powers, Ethiopia requested the help of the league of Nations, but the legue did nothing, resulting in a military occupation of Ethiopia.
  • Italy invades British Egypt

    Mussolini, now emboldened by the success Hitler was having in Europe, and Italy's recent success seizing southern France, Mussolini decided to go after British Egypt. Hitler, seeing the advantage of kicking Britain out of the country, promptly sent german troops under the command of Erwin Rommel to aid the Italian forces.

    After many loses, the British replace Major-General O'Connor with Field Marshal Benard Montgomery.
  • 2nd Battle of El Alamien

    Montgomery launches operation light foot, starting the second battle of El Alamien. It decimates Rommels remaining forces and kicks him out of Egypt.

    After much time and effort, the German lines are finally broken, forcing Rommel to retreat to Tunisia.

    After finally being beaten for months, Rommel finally leaves north Africa in defeat.
