Rome-Berlin Axis
The first part of the axis powers forming together. Before Italy and Germany didn't trust eachother, this was a huge step on the fight towards turning Europe totalitarian. -
Munich Pact
An agreement between France, Great Brittain, Italy, and Germany. This was an agreement basically allowing the annexation of Czechslovakia by Germany. -
German-Soviet Nonaggression
A pact saying Germany would not attack Soviet Russia. Pretty much immediately afterwards Germany went back on their word, and invaded Russia. This would ultimately force USSR to declare war on Germany. -
Great Brittain and France Declare War on Germany
A huge part in the war, mainly showing that allies would be in this war. Not just one versus one, but multiple nations brawling it out. -
Battle at Dunkirk
Germany attacked the lower countries, French and British infantry ttried to stop but failed the fall of the lower countries. -
Chruchill becomes Prime Minister
Churchill took a huge part in coming up with ideas to stop German forces. -
Tripartite Pact
Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, and Fascist Italy coming together and deciding to fight as an alliance. A huge part in the war because these were all power hungry leaders, that would do anything to win. Ultimately, basically forcing Great Brittain and all their allies to declare war. -
Germany Invades Soviet Union
Under the codename "Operation Barbarossa" Germany attacked the Soviet Union, this was a huge part because Germany showed that they were a force to be reckoned with. Germany invaded what was one of the strongest militaries at the time, and Hitler and the Nazis attacked them with no fear at all. -
Stalingrad
4 millionsoldiers went accross Russian borders, seemed like the axis powers would win but then winter hit.German soldiers were caught in their summer uniforms in a bitter Russian winter. Stallin then sent 2 million soldiers to take out the Germans completely. -
Japan Bombs Pearl Harbor
Up until this bombing the United States were trying to avoid the war all together. Though, almost imediately after the US decided they were going to joing the war. -
US declares war on Japan
The day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor the US declared war on Japan. This was huge because the got the United States in the Second Worl War. -
Germany and Axis Powers Declare War On US
This meant that the Axis Powers were now again the US, meaning that the US would have to fight against them. Which would ultimately meet the end of WWII because the US had a hige part of causing the defeat of the axis powers. -
Mass Murder of Jews Begin in Auschwitz
1.1 million eople died at Auschwitz, this was just one of the many terrible things that Hitler and the Nazi party were doing. -
Battle at the Midway
The small navy of the US finally was able to defeat the Japanese navy. -
US Invades North Africa
The first time there were strategic moves durring WWII between Churchhill and FDR. Mainly a political attack. -
The Tehran Conference
A meeting betweeen the leaders of the US, Great Britain, and Soviet Russia. Held in Tehran.Meeting decided many of the factors concerning WWII, including adding a second front. -

Nicknamed D-Day, was one of the bloodiest battles in history. A battle that was to catch Germany by surprise. -

A meeting between the leaders of the allied forces to discuss how to go about the nations that had been torn apart by the war. -

Victory in Europe. Ultimately, because of the surrender of Nazi Germany all the other axis powers surrendered as well. -
Postdam Conference
A conference between Truman, Stallin, and Churchill (later Attlee) to find a punishment to give Nazi Germany for "causing the war" -

First atomic bomb in history used in war. -
Nagasaki Bombing
Last nuclear weopon used in war, ultimately making Japan surrender the war. -

The Victory over Japan and Pacific Nations. Was basically the ending point of WWII.
