This is an important event to World War II because if Canada just decided to stay away from the war and not help assisit Britain then Britain would have surrendered to the Germans and it would be only a matter of time before they'd would attempt to take over Canada. So this was an honourable decision for the Canadians. -

This is a signifiane event for World War II because this is an event where Canada contributed alot and helped his allies by making a great victory. Although they had won, the allies, especially Canada, lost many lives for no reason. This event is also known for the accident that had happen over the beach. If this acciedent didn't occur then half of the Canadian solidiers would be alive and not dead or taken away. It was a lesson. -
