    The Japanese invasion on China started when the Japanese claimed to be attacked by the Chinese near Beijing. They used there conquered base of Manchuria as a spot to deploy their troops. The Japanese quickly took control of 1 million Chinese people within 5 people. They were allowed to brutally beat the Chinese. Poland was extremely outmatched by Germany. Hitler then later went against the non-aggression pact and invaded Russia.

    Hitler pushes his army east towards Russia. This went against the non-aggression pact that they made with Russia. They pushed through until they got stopped in Moscow. They were forced to turn around and head back to Germany. In the end, they were fighting a two front war.

    Operation Gomorrah was a bombing raid on Germany. The British and America teamed up together to bomb a city in Germany called Hamburg.     At the Battle of Iwo Jima, 3 marine troops went to the shore and fought 23,000 Japanese troops. Japanese troops dug out holes and caves to hide in. This made the marinates have to adapt to the environment. The marines defeated the Japanese fairly quickly. The famous photo shows american troops raising the American flag.

    The battle of Okinawa was between the U.S. and the Japanese. America had more than twice the number of troops than the Japanese. America had 7,374 killed, 31,807 wounded, and 239 missing in action. Both of generals on either side also died during the battle.     The U.S. Dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The U.S. had threaten to use this bomb and they went through with it. This was the first bomb that was used during wartime. The bomb was tested in New Mexico and the used to kill hundreds of thousands of Japanese. A few days later, the Japanese had surrendered.

One problem is that the German army is on a shortage of fuel and they were not expecting winter to effect them as much. The 101st airborne devision helped with the German army.
