Start of Great Depression

After the Roaring 20's and also due to the Stock Market crash, America flew into the Great Depression. This made our GPA skyrocket. The unemplyment rate skyrocketed, and most of those with a job worked in places like factories. -
Japan Invades Manchuria
The dispute between the Chinese and Japanese grew more and more tense during recent activities in 1931, such as the Wanpaoshan Incident and the killing of two Japanese officials in Shanghai. In response to these, Japan invaded the town of Manchuria, and established it as a puppet state called Manchukuo. They kept this establishment from September 19th, 1931, all the way to February 27, 1932; a total of about 5 months and 1 week. -
Hitler becomes Führer of Germany
(I couldn't find the exact day :/) During September of 1933, Adolf Hitler rose to become the Führer of Germany. His rise to power began in 1919 when he joined a political party known as the Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, an anti-Marxist party. During the elections for leader, Hitler promised many things, including land expansion for Germany. This and many other factors helped rise him to become leader of Germany. -
Japan invades Nanking
Due to tension between China and Japan, like the killing of two Japanese officials in Shanghai, Japan responded by invading the Chinese city of Nanking. While they were there, they raped, murdered, and pillaged the people who lived there. -

Japan takes control of Nanking

After sieging and attacking Nanking, Japan went on to control it for about one month. During their rule, they massacred many residents who lived there. -
Germany and Russia sign Nonaggression Act
Germany and Russia secretly signed a document that stated how they would divide up Poland. The document also stated how they would not attack each other. -
German Invasion of Poland
The Invasion of Poland, or the 1939 Defensive War, was a joint invasion by Germany and the Soviet Union on Poland. German forces invaded from all sides of Poland, making their army have to push back. Mid September, the Polish lost to Germany in the Battle of the Bzura, giving Germany a large upperhand. -
France and Britain Declare War on Germany
After Germany invaded Poland, two days later France and Britain declared war on Germany. -

After Hitler invaded Poland in 1939, there was a while of no military action from the Allies towards the German Reich, even though France and Britain had declared war on them. -
Germany invades France
After having been declared war on, Germany decided to take action and siege France, starting with Paris. After taking control, Germany took over half of France, and let them keep it with their new-found government to comply with. -
The Blitz
The Blitz, or "Blitzkrieg" (Lightning War), was a period of sustained and strategically bombings on the UK from Germany lasting from 7 September 1940 – 21 May 1941. Germany bombed the UK's major cities many times, London being attacked 71 times. -
Pearl Harbor
On December 7, 1941, Japan officialy pulled the US into the war by bombing Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. -
D-Day Landings on Normandy
The landings in Normandy was an attack by the allies towards Germany. The plan was well thought out, and the Allies had to do it on this day to due moon phases and such making it just right. The attack ended in over 15,00 casualities -
Bombing of Hiroshima
After years of the war, the US pulls the rope of victory by releasing an atomic bomb on the Japanese town of Hiroshima. -
Atomic Bomb Dropped on Nagasaki
Shortly after the dropping on Hiroshima, an atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. These bombs were the primary factor ending the war.
