Following Hiroshima, the U.S. dropped the next atomic bomb on another Japanese city, Nagasaki. This was because the Japanese hadn't surrendered after the bombing at Hiroshima. After this event, the Japanese surrendered the war on August 14, 1945. -
U.S. accepts Japan's surrender
This was day the United States accepted the Japanese surrender. The United States general Douglas MacArthur accepted the surrender. By doing this, World War 2 had officially ended.
