Pearl Harbor Bombed
Japan send in hundreds of forces to attack Pearl Harbor, the Phillippines, and Guam. These events force the U.S. into war, although its entire Pacific fleet has been crippled. -
War is Declared on Japan
The United States, having no choice, and Britain both declare war on Japan after the horrific events at Pearl Harbor. In retalliation, Germany and Italy declare war on the United States. Congress offically declares war on those countries. -
Japanese Sent to Relocation Centers
President Roosevelt orders all Japanese and Japanese Americans to be escorted and held in "relocation centers" for the rest of the duration of the war. -
Garmany Surrenders
Germany signs unconditional surrender terms at Rheims, ending their war.
