William James bean was born on may 24, 1888 in Syracuse, new York. He had five brothers and one sister and he was definitely the youngest out of all of them. His location was 1335 gape street, Syracuse. Before the war he was a barber and he learned it when he was eighteen. After a while he was working there he had bought the shop. -

Germany is planning on supporting Austria-Hungary if war is gonna start. Then on July 28 a war was declared by Austria-Hungary on Serbia. Knowing that they are getting in a war the Russian started to get their army for back up, also getting the troops stationed on the border of Germany. -
Germans sink Lusitania
The British passenger ship Lusitania entered the war zone of Germany and the effect to that they lost 1,200 passengers-including, 128 Americans with the German high tech submarine. When that happened the Germans are now known as a terrorist for killing the civilians and most was women and children. So the Americans sent several official protest to Germany to tell them to stop endangering the people that was not included in the war zone. -
Battle of Verdun
Battle of Verdun would be the longest conflict of World War I. It was stretched for 10 months. Their key to winning the war is to defeat the french in a major battle on the western front. There was really bad losses on both side of the Battle of Verdun. -
Zimmerman telegram
Zimmerman received a telegram to German ambassador. British intelligence intercepted the Zimmerman telegram. Which made the Americans find out from the newspaper. When this happened it made the Americans think it was OK for the war with Germany was necessary to occur. -
U.S. officially enters war
U.S officially enters war in April 6 1917. They had a vote on entering the war and only 373 to 50 voted then the america finally enters world war 1. And they had a killing of 272 people and including 27 Americans. Then the united states began to not trust the German army. -
Selective service act draft begains
In 1917 the selective service act draft begins which was a new conscription system. The age you have to be is between 21 and 30 to register for the draft. The draft board members we the civilian from local communities. Most draft boards were the the heart of the system. More and more Americans were drafted until there was about 3.8 million Americans drafted. -

Treaty of Versailles- in January 1919 27 countries traveled to France and to attend the peace conference. Every one there lasted five months in the negotiations on the treaty of Versailles. The Bolsheviks had won the war in spring of 1920.
