Franz Ferdinad was the Archduke of Austria. He and his wife were assasinated by 19-year-old, Gavrilo Princip. His assasination set off a booming beginning to the first World War. -
Austria declares war on Serbia
Ausria blamed the assasination of Franz Ferdinad on Serbia. Many people blamed the first World War on Austria because from then on other countries started to follow this domino effect and many other contires started entering the conflict. -

The British boat The Lusitania sinks. A German U-boat torpedoed the Lusitania causing it to sink. The ship sank in a total of 18 minutes. -

The Selective Serivce act commitioned the U.S. goverment to raise a national army service for WWI. It destroyed familys and democracy at home. The act ended with the end of the war on November 11, 1918. -

Germany signs a peace treaty with Russia. It ended all of Russia's participation in war. The route to the treaty was difficult with many delays and demands. Germany really then had no option than to sign the treaty. -

This battle was the first continuous American offensive of WWI. This battle was very short but brutal. The Americans fight very hard and brave and move on to larger attacks over time. -
Kaiser William II abdicated
Kaiser William II went into exile. He was the German Emperor and King of Prussia. His abdictation was released before he gave permission or concent to it. -
The End of WWI
Germany signed a treaty that declared peace and no more fighting. The treaty was prepared by Brittan and France. WWI was known as the war to end all wars. This is because all the destruction and death.
