This happened because the U.S. had entered the war and their soldiers were doing good, the german navy was on strike therefore the german navy was not cooperating and not following any of the orders that the head was giving them, and the Triple Alliance had been damaged by failing the Schlieffen Plan and the Verdun Offensive Plan. -
Treaty of Versailles
This treaty ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers. This was signed in Paris in Versailles. Under the treaty Germany had to pay large amounts of money for reparations. The sum of the reparations was 6.6 billion euros. This was a debt Germany could not pay.
