this is important because it is a main reason that the usa entered the war. Germany was not allowed to be using these submariens but they did, in hopes that the allies wouldnt realize. -
US enters war
United States enters war on the allies side. -
Second Battle of the Marne
Germans launched an attack on the french, on two fronts. The east and the west. The germans failed on the eastern front but the western front looked more hopeful. But the Allied troops retaliated with a counter-attack. This was the start of the collapse of Germany.
