Hitler commits suicide because the axis is losing. He appointed Admiral Doenitz as his successor, but without Hitler the German Army falls apart. Also, Hitler's suicide is a huge demoralization for the German troops. -

Germany finally surrenders after numerous defeats. This meant near victory for the allies. The reign of terror is finally almost over. -
The End of WW2
Japan finally surrenders. In order to achieve their victory, the allies dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This marks the end of World War 2.
