Leader of Nazi
Adolf Hitler becomes leader of the Nazi Party. Party opposed treaty of Versailles. He was one of the best speakers of the party and told members to make him leader or he would never return. -
Italian Prime Minister
Benito Mussolini appointed Prime Minister of Italy. He promised to restore order through strong leadership. In October threatened to overthrow Italy's elected government. He eneded freemdom of the press and banned all political oarties except his own. -
Soviet Union
Josef Stalin was a powerful communist leader in the early years of the soviet union. Turned union into a totalitarian state. He took brutal measures to control indusrty and agriculture. He ordered people to hand out farms to government. When refused were executed or sent to labour camps. -
