through the bombsight. Once the sight determined that
the target had been reached, it alerted the bombardier

RAdio Detection And Ranging was developed byRobert Watson-Watt, a Scottish physicist. Thhis Radar was known to help win the war. In 1939 the British had only 800 aircraft to try to hold back 3,000 German planes.
