  • German Anschluss with Austria

    Hitler wanted to unify all German people and annexed Austria and wanted the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia. Chamberlain wanted to make peace.

  • Treaty of Munich

    There was a treaty in Munich between Hitler, Chamberlain, Mussolini, and Daladier. They decided to give Hitler the Sudetenland but that's it.

  • Britin reams and reassures Poland

    Poland was rearmed because people were fearing an invasion of Hitler.

  • Hitler invades Czechoslovakia

    Hitler broke the Treaty of Munich and marched into Czechoslovakia

  • Russia and Germany sign pact.

    Hitler and Stalin agree to non-aggression and to split Poland.

  • Hitler Invades Poland

    Hitler invades where he was born for more living space

  • Britian and France declare war on Germany

    Britain and France have had enough and declare war on Germany.

    Hitler invades more lands to ensure a safeguard of supply routs

    After war was declared in Germany Britain took no military action.

    Holland and Belgium were invaded. Rotterdam was bombed. Both countries were taken.

    Chamberlain resigned and Churchill took his place. Factories increased production

    British troops were trying to escape at Dunkirk. They were trapped on a beach and sitting ducks to the planes. Many were rescued by civilian ships.

    Italy joined the war in hopes of getting the spoils of war

    Signed and armistice that took France out of the war and under German control
