Stealing more land.
Japan invades Manchuria, a large area that is in Northeast Asia. They invade this area because they wanted to gain more raw materials so they could support there expansion and militarization. -
Japan vs. China
Japan invades China which results into a ww2 in the pacific area. They did this because Japan is a very poor area and wanted to gain their industrious expansionist people. -
Munich agreement
Germany, Italy, Great Britain, and France sign the Munich agreement which forces the Czechoslovak Republic to cede the Sudetenland. -

Germany invades Poland, this was the beginning of World War II in Europe. The Germans invaded by the North,South, and West. -

Shortly after Germany invades Poland , the Soviet Union invades Poland from the east. -
Italy enters the war.
Italy invades southern France, they wanted to take control of the Alps then win most of the colonies in North Africa. Benito Mussolini says "I only need a few thousand dead so that I can sit at the peace conference as a man who has fought". -
Germany fails.
German bombers and fighters bomb a British shipping convoy in the channel that the axis powers would soon try to conquer. Britain had far less fighters than Germany : 600 to 1,300. -
Another invasion.
Italy invades Egypt because they wanted to gain more land by invading ethiopia. After this Mussolini sets his eyes on North Africa. -

Slovakia (November 23), Hungary (November 20), and Romania (November 22) join the Axis. -

Allies defeat Japan in the Battle of Midway this was only 6 months after Pearl Harbor. -
Italy surrenders.
The Italians may have surrendered, but their war was far from over. -
Battle of Tarawa
U.S. forces invade Tarawa, nearly 6,000 Japanese and Americans died on the island during this. -
Japans defeat in Pacific
Japan's navy is defeated near the Philippines. -
Invasion of Normandy
D-day: Allied troops land in France and begin invasion. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
U.S armed forces fought and captured the area from the Japanese Empire,they wanted to capture the entire island, including its three airfields, to provide a staging area for attacks on the Japanese main islands. -
Is this finally the end??
Americans use their new weapon the atomic bomb twice, once in Hiroshima and another in Nagasaki. The Japenese's Navy and Air Force had all been destroyed. Japan signs surrender agreement, ending war. -
Battle Of Bulge
Germans fight back during this, allies were caught of guard. It was the last offense the Germans threw against the allies in the west. It was said to be the largest battle fought by Americans in WW II, using 600,000 troops with 81,000 US casualties.
