Germany invades Poland on this day and begins one of the wars in all of world history. -
Invasions of Norway and Denmark.
Germany continues its invasion of Europe by invading Norway and Denmark. Denmark would surrender to Germany right away while Norway wouldn't surrender til two months later. -
A new Country
Italy enters the war after watching from the sidelines for about a year and doesn't hesitate for a second. It goes after the southern part of France. -
The tri- greement
Italy, Germany, and Japan all come to a peace and agree to work together. To make it offficial they sign the tripartite pact which states they are in peace. -
Bombing of Pearl Harbor
One of the biggest events of american history. Japanese troops dropped bombs on one of our largest naval bases. -
We're in
After the tragic event killing about 2.5 thousand people, the United States decides to go to war with Japan. -
Germany declares back
After hearing that the U.S declares war on ally Japan, Germany declares war on the U.S about 5 days later. -
Tag team battle
One of the most important naval battles. The U.S. and British navy were able to hold back the powerful Japanese navy at the battle of Midway. ( Note this was more then one day and wet from June 3rd to June 6th) -
We Give Up
After multiple attacks and many retreats along with their suicided leader. The Germans surrender to the Western Allies. With one down the U.S has one opponent left, Japan! -
The Bomb
The United states take total control with first on August 6th with the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Three days later the U.S. drop another atomic bomb Nagasaki to make 2 bombs in three days. -
The End
With thousands killed, and totally blasted by the U.S., the Japanese give up. A formal surrender would take place on September 2nd and with that wraps up World War 2.
