-It was deemed unethical by many people at the time to use chemical warfare.

-From a German soldiers view, he may feel uncomfortable having to worry about 3 enemy troops rather than one.

-Portugal entering the war very late which means they are no longer neutral.

-Portugal had intended to keep their neutrality throughout this war, but Germany had declared war on them despite there being no previous conflict between the two.
-It does not seem fair that they are part of this war. -

- No one can deny how useless this battle truly was.

- With peace now being discussed, there will be no more casualties. *This was a turning point because the war is finally coming to an end! It marks the end of sadness and a new beggining for many! -
Remembrance Day

-Respects are paid for the fallen.
-People celebrate the ending of the war. 2)Continuity and Change
-Remembrance Day is now internationally celebrated for it's positive message.
-There are many more ways to respect the fallen rather than hosting a banquet.
Remembrance Day also fundraises money for soldiers coming back from their line of duty. -

-All conflicts have been resolved

-People celebrated the end of the war because how much damage and grief its caused.
