This Battle took place between September 4th and September 12, in the city of Paris, France near Marne River. The result was Germany having to retreat back Northeast and set up trench warfare. -

Torpedoed off of the coast of Ireland. About 1200 people lost their lives including about 200 americans. Caused unease to set in throughout the world. -
Battle of Verdun.
The Battle of Verdun took place between February 21st through December 18th 1916. It took place in Verdun, France. Verdun resulted in 714,321 casualties, 377,231 on the French side and 337,000 on the German one. -

The sussex pledge sttes that no German U-boat will torpedo unarmed passenger ships without warning. -

The battle of somme took place between July 1st and November 18th of 1916. It was considered one of the largest battles in WWI. And resulted in over 1 million casualties. -

Zimmerman Note was an effort by the Germans to tell mexico to start a war with America, and once Germany wins and mexico can have their land back they had years before. -

This act only selects men between the ages of 21-30 to be able to fight in the World War. -

The leader Czar Nicholas II was abdicated and a new provisional government was put into place until further notice, a more of a democracy style government. -

Revolution to fully change the Russian governments and the way its run. They went through alot of industrialization and slowly caught up to the other countries that already industrialized. -

the offensive push toward the Marne River. Fought between US and Germany. 10000 us casualties. US won and captured 1600 germans. -
Treaty of Versailles
This treaty ends the war between the Allied forces and the Central powers. Allie forces won and forced Germany to comply with many harsh things to deal with the loss of the war. Known as Reperations. -
Armistice Day
A holiday given to the Armistice between the Allied forces which also comemorates with Veterans Day.
