My Little Girl Writes Again
I won’t get mad at you anymore sweetheart. It is very foolish of me to do so without a very good reason. But the first week on one of the boats, I got lost about 40 times it was huge. I started writing this around 2:00 am on Sunday then fell asleep at the YMCA. That’s why it’s taken me so long. But the next day on Monday we were on a coal ship all day. I would tell you all the stories but it would take too much time and we both know there's not a lot of that anymore. -

Letter to Myrtle
He received another letter from her and that just made him so happy. It is his 6th letter and he said his heart just leaped. He really misses her. Her letters are the things that boost his day and make him happy. Whenever he thinks about her he basically said he gets butterflies and he said he has wishes/dreams that he wishes would come true. He was afraid he would not be able to get out of the navy after the war just because they might keep them just a little longer. -

After the second battle of the Marn, the American men barely took a break to catch their breaths. The Germans had decided to pull back even before the American attack began on September 12. British and French offensives made similar progress on three sperate fronts. British and French forces had the Germans in full retreat. -
Armistice Day (Veterans Day)
An armistice was signed ending fighting on the Western front, basically there peace treaty so that the war would end and they could go home. World War 1 allies signed an agreement with Germany to end the fighting.
