Imperialism in WW1
Imperialism is a system where one or more high power nations are in control and rules one or two colonies to expand their power. An imperialist nation establishes or has control over the new or un marked territory through coercion. Some similiar processes are infiltration, annextation, political pressure with war. To the point where the territiory is claimed it is known as a colony of the imperialist nagtion. This was from 1800- the 19th century. -
The Significant Force

Militarism was a huge impact on WW1. A combination of military personnel and with the ideas of the peoples government. This was a belieft that this would be needed for the national power. Strongest in Germany, Kaiser trusted with his strongest and best military commanders. In which exerted very little or sometimes none control on military. European arms race in the late 1800s was coming up with new technologies and advances in the industrial production. -
Nationalism in WW1
Nationalism is form of patriotism and ones loyalty to his or hers country. The countries own interest is placed above other countries. This form could be found in parts of culture including the arts, musical theatre, and literature. This gave citizens confidence within their nation with their government and military strength to be successful. -
The Formation of Alliances
Central powers was the first. Chancellor Bismark won a handful of small wars which alllowed him to build multiple german states to add to the prussian core.The Dual Alliance was an important alliance because of the Three Emperors league; Germany, Austria-Hungary, & Russia.Triple Alliance was formed to unify the centre of Europe. Triple Entente was another alliance made in this period.
