Trenches where put in on opposite sides of no man's land, the ground between the front lines, to house soldiers during battle. This caused many problems such as illness and death.

Germany tries to make an alliance with Mexico so if America joins the war they will have to worry about an attack from them. -
Espionage and Sedition Act
Forbid the US citizens from getting involved with all military operations and to prevent insubordination of the Soldiers even though it prevented the freedom of speech given in the first amendment. After the court case of Schenck vs. the US the judge ruled in favor of the US saying it was not going against the first amendment. -
Spanish Flu
It was a horrible viral infection that hit the USA in three waves. Symptoms include normal symptoms of the flu, deathly high fever, cough/throwing up blood, muscle aches and eventually death. The pandemic started in Chicago shipyards.

Fourteen Points
Used in peace negotiations to end WW1. As a result the Legue of Nations on January 10,1920 after the Paris Peace Confrence. -
Treaty of Versaills
Peace Treaty that ended the war between Germany and Allied Powers. It punished Germany by taking away territories and oversees colonies. Reducing the size of the nations army and forcing Germany to pay repetitions. -

Women
The 19th amendment gave women the right to vote. Also during the war women took the place of men in the work force and giving the advertivesment of Rosie the Riviter saying the iconic quote "We can do this."
