    World War 1 started in 18th of Jun in 1914 when the Germans start to attack the east part of Europe.Allie forces the British were the first to encounter their war experiences on the battlefield.The Austro- Hungarian hire to the throne and his wife were killed by a Serbian terrorist a declared war on them.Soon more nation went to war and all hell broke lose.

    During the war their were two sides of the war the allies and the central powers.The allies will be the united states,Great Britain,French,and Russia.The Central powers will be Germany,Austria-Hungry,Ottoman Empire,and Bulgaria.The war was full of clusters of warfare all around Europe.

    During the great war the show new kind of machinery that change the war for ever.The machinery like the tanks, airships,gas,machine guns,bard wire,Submarines and gadgets used during the war.These machinery became reliable but it also used by the enemy as well.These machine also cause many deaths on the battlefield.

    In 1915 Austria-Hungry wanted to take over serbia from Russians.But the Russians refuse to let go of serbia because they have been alleys a long time ago.Austria-Hungry refuse to hold back and attack serbia While the German empire protect them from Russia.The Russians broke throw the German line and cam to assisted serbia.In July 15 1915 Russia was able to push back Austria-Hungry and protected Serbia from the Central powers.

    On the Jul 1 1916 the first battle between the allies and German Empire.Over the casualties of Somme the total was about 19,240 British man and french man had died during the battle.The battle was a massacre waiting to happen no was moving or advancing.For some time the battle had end Nov 18 1916.

    The U.S. was in the war in actual combat for only seven and a half months. During that time 116,000 were killed and 204,000 were wounded. In the Battle of Verdun in 1916, there were over a million casualties in ten months.American soldiers never felt this kind of experiences but it will soon back to them again.

    On May 7th 1917 a British ship that was a gift for the U.S was sunk by a German U-Boat.On the ship their was 150 us people who where on the ship no one did not make it out alive. Their was multiple casualties on the ship that were family members, co-workers ,and many people who were sailing in the open sea.Word got out to the United States many people were upset,angry,and soon protesting to go to war with Germany.

    On July 18 1918 he and his platoon was sent into battle this was his first battle in years.Many of the other men were scared to be on a blood battlefield Irving didn't let his guard down for this one.He still had second thoughts of how this was going out but as his Sargent told his platoon to march up the hill that his first mission.At the end their was no causalities on the battlefield for that Irving and the rest get some sleep at last.

    From 1917-1918 Greenwald was an draft US army soldier in world war 1.From there he did basic training from camp doing basic drills eat breakfast in the morning getting up ready for training.Soon on January 15 the parade had started and he was up and ready to go.For mouths Irving W. Greenwald has been practicing how to fight for his life when he gets on the battlefield.

He had token down 80 planes, more than any other WWI pilot he was also one of most experience pilot they had that work for the central powers during the war. He died after being shot down near Amines. France's Rene Franck was the Allies most successful fighter pilot, shooting down 75 enemy planes.

    During the process of the war their was a limited of amount of men for the allies at that time they are going to need so some back up.In 1918 the British recruited many Africans Americans and Native Americans to join the war.At that moment both the U.S. and British army have grown more to defeat the Germany Empire.The problem is that most of them didn't fight in the war only about 11% of Africans and Native American fight in the war.

    Irving and his platoon were walking 13 kilo meter throw the wood with some equipment that they and few men that are willing to fight.But than sometime later his platoon was attack by German forces Irving was stun of what he had seen.Most of the men were wounded or killed and most of their equipment were destroyed by the ambush.For now they have to rely on the equipment they had and few men that ready to fight when they reach Amines.

    In the battles of Amines Irving Greenwald and his platoon was station on hillside view defending their artillery.But the Germans were shelling most of the ground were the British second platoon was fight at they were both on to heavy fire.Irving did not feel up the task.He had a sore throat that was borthering him every sents he left base camp.

    On Oct 18 1918 Before his war days were over he was injured in battle.His was now on a train heading to the red cross hospital to restrain his injures.He also revive a letter from the eastern front for thanking him for serving his country well.He was unhappy for being injured in battle but he was glad for serving his country for the greater good.Also in the letter that he got he was also discharge from the Army.

    In 1919 almost to the end of the world Christmas time has begun and it was quite on both front lines.This was the first part of the Christmas trues.Both British and German troops came to each trench and shared their gifts to them. But by the end of the treat of versatile was pass and the war has ended.
