End of WW1
Germany surrendered. After the United States entered the war the German government realized that the huge numbers of fresh troops that would add to the allied side would mean the eventual conquest of Germany. Also their naval forces had been bottled up and their submarine campaign disappointing. So they knew they weren't going to win and finally accepted that and surrendered. The armistice with Germany was signed November 11th, 1918.
