Hitler uses the Blitzkrieg strategy to win. Poland had many men, but also had many strategic miscalculations. What happened was that 1.5 million invaded Poland and Germany aircraft bombed Polish airfields. It happened because Hitler thought Poland would be good living space for German people. Germany cut through the Somme Valley to get to Paris. France tried to stand strong but Germany's aircraft was to strong. We gave war supplies to Great Britain. It costed $49.1 billion. What happened was that America gave weapons to Great Britain. It happened because Great Britain did not have a lot of weapons. FDR gave his famous speech. He asked the congress for a declaration of war. What happened was that FDR declared war on Japan on the 8th, and Germany on the 11th.
