    Invention of the Cotton Gin
    The Cotton Gin was invented by Eli Whitney on December 8,1765. This machine made cotton cleaning so much easier because it removed the cottonseed from the cotton fiber. Before the Cotton Gin was invented people had to use their hands to clean cotton and this took a long time. This machine was the start of industrialization.

    The Boston Massacure also known as the Boston Riot happened on March 5,1770 and it was when British soldiers killed five civilians. This was considered the first battle of the revolutionary war. The Boston Massacure happened because the people were against the government.

    The Boston Tea Party was on December 16,1773 and it was when officials in Boston refused to pay back tea taxes to Great Brittain. A group of colonists decided to board the ships and dump all of the tea on the ships into the Boston Harbor. This was not a tea party at all.

    The Revolutionary War or the American War of Independence started on April 19,1775 and ended September 3,1783. The purpouse of this war was to gain american independence. The two sides fighting in the war were the British and the Americans. The result of the war was that the Americans won and gained their independence against the British.

    The Declaration of Independence was made on July 4,1776 and says that the thirteen original colonies are independent states and are no longer apart of the British empire. July 4 is an official national holiday celebrating the freedom of these states.

    The storming of the Bastille happened in Paris on July 14,1789 it was when all of the citizens attacked a fortress for weaponds and is now an important holiday in Paris. In elglish it is called Bastille day.

    King Louis was the king of france during the French Revolution and he was exicuted on January 21,1793 for being unfair to the french citizens.

    Marie Antoinette was the queen of France during the French Revolution. She was not a very good queen so the people decided to have her excicuted as a punishment for treating the people of france poorly.
  • The Titanic sinks

    The Titanic sinks
    The Titanic was a very large ship that was able to hold 2,223 people. It sunk on April 15,1912 at 2:20 am and 1,517 people died. The reason so many people died was because it hit an iceburg and began to sink and the ship only had enough lifeboats for 1,178 people.
